Looking for a hands-on course on how to make “proper” traditional, prime pork butchers sausages?! We are now offering a course for up to four people, lasting half a day.
Experience the whole process from start to finish and get as involved as you want to be!! At the end of the course each person you will take away over 2kg of your fresh homemade quality sausages. The course lasts approximately 4 hours …and start times are either 09:30 for a morning or 13:30 for the afternoon.
The half day course is for up to four people, minimum 12 years old. Cost €60.00 per person and will give you over 2kg of sausages per person – these will have been packed and will keep for weeks in a fridge or for up to six months in a freezer.

Slight change to Le Tour de France 2018 dates which will now start and go through our village of Vix on Saturday 7th July 2018.
We can be flexible on arrival and departure dates for the 2 weeks between Saturday 30th June 2018 – Saturday 14th July 2018
EXCITING NEWS: 2018 Tour de France opening stage has been confirmed and La Tannerie Farmhouse is ideally situated for Stage One and Two. Enjoy your day watching the race then back for a swim in the private heated swimming pool and a relax. For the week of the tour evening meals can be catered for with prior notification.
Saturday June 30 2018 the first stage will begin in Noirmoutier-en-l’Île with the opening kilometres over the Passage du Gois, they will then track the coastline for much of the day, before heading in land to finish at Fontenay-Le-Comte (12km/less than 15 minutes from us) after 195km ride. The flat finish to the stage should mean a bunch sprint, although with much of the stage consisting of a southward ride along the coast, crosswinds could well be a factor.
Stage two will cover 185km from Mouilleron-Saint Germain (43km/less than 40 minutes from us) to La Roche-sur-Yon (69km / less than 50 minutes from us), a route that stays in land in contrast to the previous day.

New Year and despite it being a tad chilly, David and Dad have been busy putting in the new paths down the side of the swimming pool.
The decking frame is now in and has been built around the flower garden, it leads down to the second patio area under the banana tree, ready for those spring and summer evenings. Next project will be the actual decking, hoping January’s weather will be kind to us so we can finish it off
